Kauffman Fund Aims to Beef Up the Meat Science Learning Experience

The summer 2024 issue of Grow magazine from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at UW-Madison features an article about MSABD and more specifically the Kauffman Experiential Learning Fund. The fund aims to help more students take advantage of the opportunities at MSABD in modern meat processing, food safety, and career growth through internships, practical and applied special projects, and extracurricular mentorships. Continuing his legacy of hands-on learning and fieldtrips to meat businesses across the Midwest to see what was learned in the classroom in action, the Kauffman Experiential Learning Fund honors the teaching contribution Dr. Robert Kauffman made during his over 30 year long career as professor of meat and animal science at UW-Madison.
